I'm being asked to paste a load of gobbledegook into your website

Older versions of our software, if they were unable to contact our systems, or in certain other failure cases, may ask you to visit our website and copy and paste a big chunk of gobbledegook. This was a feature of our old website that we no longer operate, but don’t despair… we’ll still be able to get things working for you.

The first thing to do is to download a fresh copy of the software (links for iDefrag and iPartition).

Second, make sure you are using the correct license details. It isn’t uncommon for people to try using out-of-date license details that they’ve already reset, and this can be very puzzling as you will very likely have an e-mail from us containing out-of-date information and may not have made a note of what they were reset to. It’s a good idea in that case to try the lost license form, which is actually linked from every page of our website (at the bottom).
